Monitoring of Submarine Cables in the Pomako River Area, Preventive Maintenance of Palapa Timur Telematics Protects Submarine Cables

Papua | August 11, 2023 Preventive maintenance of submarine cable quality is a series of activities carried out by PT Palapa Timur Telematika on a routine and scheduled basis to ensure the cables continue to function properly and optimally.

This step is to prevent damage and potential problems with submarine cables before they become more serious and impact the performance of the submarine cable network.

This submarine cable inspection took place in the Pomako River, which serves as the route for the Palapa Ring Timur submarine cable segments of Timika - Agats and Timika - Dobo. Rusly, FOP Timika, and Marcel, an instructor from PADI, led the diving operation, assisted by the Timika BASARNAS team.
