PTT Attends the South Papuan Student Competency Competition in the Field of Computer Network Cables

Merauke, South Papua | May 2-5, 2023 The South Papua Province-level student competency competition, in commemoration of National Education Day, was held for the first time in Merauke Regency from May 2-5, 2023. Sixteen competition categories were contested, including the Computer and Information Network Cable competition, which aimed to test students' competency in fiber optics. SMKN 3 Merauke, as the host of the Computer and Information Network Cable competition, had previously hosted a sharing session on fiber optics hosted by PT Palapa Timur Telematika, which continued with the Field Work Practice program.

Participants in this competency competition came from public and private vocational schools in the South Papua region, representing their respective schools. Assessment was based on theoretical and practical knowledge of fiber optics. PTT was honored to be selected by the organizers as a member of the jury for this event. Ardiansah from FOP Merauke represented the judging panel. This demonstrates the company's support for educational advancement, particularly in the field of Computer and Information Networks.

"This student competency competition is excellent for developing students' competencies in information network cabling, particularly in fiber optics. This allows students to become more skilled in the use of fiber optic equipment. Our enthusiasm was further heightened by the fact that the representatives from SMKN 3 Merauke were students who had participated in the fiber optic sharing session and field work experience program held by PTT. Hopefully, this activity can continue," said Ardiansah, FOP Merauke. "The purpose of this student competency competition is to foster students' interest and talent in Computer and Network Technology.
